Lineup text messages: privacy
Last updated 7 October 2026
This page covers Lineup's text-message (SMS) service, operated by Accuio LLC dba Lineup. It is separate from this website, whose own privacy page is at https://runlineup.com/privacy.
What we hold. Your mobile number, the name your organizer knows you by, your replies to game messages, and which games you took a seat in. If you ask for a calendar invitation, the email address you give us. Lineup has no accounts, no passwords and no profiles.
Why. To run your organizer's games: to ask whether you want a seat, to record your answer, to tell you the lineup, and to send the calendar invitation if you asked for one.
Mobile numbers and SMS consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is not sold, rented or given to advertisers, data brokers or marketing platforms, ever.
A link in a text points only to runlineup.com and carries an unguessable code, not your phone number, name or email. A standings or lineup page shows first names to anyone holding its link. If Lineup handles a fee for your organizer's game or event, it is paid on a runlineup.com page through a card processor; Lineup does not store card numbers and never texts a payment app address. Opening a link is not shared with advertisers.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Who can see it. Your organizer sees their own roster and the replies people send about their games; organizers cannot see each other's rosters. Accuio support staff can see it for support and abuse handling. Replies are read by software to understand IN and OUT; no person reads them except for support or abuse review. Three providers touch the data to run the service: Twilio delivers the messages, Cloudflare hosts the software and runs a backup reader, and Anthropic's AI reads the words of a reply to tell a yes from a no. Anthropic receives the reply's text and the game's details, not your name or number, and does not use them to train its models. None of them uses your number for anything but that.
Calendar invitations. If you ask for one, your email address is used only to create it. The invitation is delivered through a calendar provider (Google), which receives your email address for that purpose. That is not marketing sharing.
How long. While you are on your organizer's list. When you reply STOP, we stop texting you at once. Your name and number stay on your organizer's roster, marked as stopped, so that you are not texted again. During the beta, messages are kept in full, together with the number they came from, and used to improve the service; a fixed deletion period will be set and published here before the service leaves beta. The record that you opted in or out is kept. To be removed entirely, email help@runlineup.com and a person does it by hand.
Where. Stored in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest.
Children. Lineup is not directed at children under 13.
